Tottenham HotspurWe are delighted to announce that we have signed Sweden international Matilda Vinberg, subject to work permit and international clearance.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has joined us following the expiration of her contract with Hammarby IF, and her deal with us runs until 2026.
Born in Stockholm, Matilda began her career with Enskede IK, making her senior debut in 2018 at the age of just 15.
In January, 2021, she signed for Swedish top-flight side Hammarby and at the end of her second season in 2022 was named the Damallsvenskan (league) Breakthrough Player of the Year and Hammarby Player of the Year.
During the 2023 campaign, Matilda was a key part of Hammarby's double-winning side as they won the Swedish Cup in June, beating Robert Vilahamn's BK Häcken in the final, before securing the Damallsvenskan title in November.
Having risen through the age groups on the international scene, Matilda made her senior debut for Sweden in November, 2022.
