Heung-Min Son has been named as a contender for the Premier League's December Player of the Month award.
Enjoying a sublime season so far in England's top flight with 17 goal involvements in 20 games (12 goals, five assists), Sonny registered eight (four goals, four assists) of them alone in December - the most of any player in the league - as he helped us keep in touching distance with the summit over the festive period.
Beginning the month in style with the opening goal plus the assist for Giovani Lo Celso's fine strike against Manchester City at the Etihad, our number seven's wing play then came to the fore as he produced two identical assists in our 4-1 win over Newcastle United - coming off the left, beating his man before squaring the ball across the box for Destiny Udogie and Richarlison to finish. He then fired home a second-half penalty to seal the win.
Adding another goal to his tally with, ultimately, the winner in our 2-1 triumph over Everton, he the set up Alejo Veliz for his first Spurs goal in our trip to Brighton before he was back on the scoresheet in N17 on Sunday with another fine finish.
