Ramona Petzelberger is back in contention for Sunday’s Barclays Women’s Super League fixture against Aston Villa at Brisbane Road (2pm KO, tickets remain available).

The Germany international missed our last two games – the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup fixture against Manchester City and the victory over Charlton Athletic in the fifth round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup - due to illness, but she returned to training this week and Robert Vilahamn confirmed that she’s back available for selection.

Defender Ashleigh Neville (ankle) and midfielder Drew Spence (hamstring) are the only players that remain sidelined for this weekend’s clash against Villa, but the latter has returned to large parts of training and is making positive progress.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Thursday afternoon, Robert said: “We are looking good ahead of this weekend.

“We are getting players back on the pitch, Drew is basically training with everything right now, but she’s not ready to be involved in the squad yet. She’s taking steps and will soon be back in the squad.

“Ashleigh is the only one who is not ready yet on the field, but other than that, everyone is healthy and looking sharp.”
