Grace Clinton shortlisted for Goal of the Month

Grace Clinton’s opening goal against West Ham United at Chigwell Construction Stadium has been named as a contender for the Barclays Women’s Super League Goal of the Month award for January.

Grace picked up the ball just inside the area, showed some lovely footwork to work the ball onto her left foot before her low-driven effort found the bottom corner, which was the first of seven goals on that evening.

This is the second time this season that Grace has been nominated for the Goal of the Month award – previously being shortlisted for her stunning strike against Brighton & Hove Albion back in October.

She will face competition from Chelsea’s Lauren James, who has been nominated twice, Liverpool’s Taylor Hinds, Leicester City’s Janice Cayman and Arsenal’s Vivianne Miedema.
