Celin Bizet came off the bench and scored for Norway in Friday night’s 3-0 victory over Croatia in the first leg of their UEFA Women’s Nations League play-off.
The 22-year-old was introduced in the 52nd minute and made an instant impact as, just 10 minutes later, she latched onto Guro Reiten’s cross to force the ball home from close-range to net her sixth senior international goal and the third goal of the game.
She went on to complete the rest of the match and helped Norway secure a comfortable lead ahead of their second-leg tie against Croatia on Tuesday evening.
Elsewhere, defender Luana Bühler started and played the full 90 minutes for Switzerland in their friendly against Poland, where Nikola Karczewska – who is currently on loan at Bayer Leverkusen – came on as a 72nd-minute substitute for Poland.
Matilda Vinberg and Amanda Nildén were unused substitutes in Sweden’s 5-0 victory over Bosnia & Herzegovina in their UEFA Women’s Nations League play-off fixture, with them also back in action on Tuesday evening.
