Team news | Spurs vs Wolves | Ange's update on Radu
Fri 27 December 2024, 11:50|Tottenham Hotspur
Ange Postecoglou said that it's still 'a bit early to tell' on Radu Dragusin's availability for Sunday's Premier League encounter against Wolves at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (3pm UK).
The central defender was forced off with an ankle injury late in our Boxing Day clash at Nottingham Forest.
It's another potential defensive blow for Ange who is still without Cuti Romero, Micky van de Ven and Ben Davies and is also without Djed Spence, suspended for this fixture after being sent off for two bookable offences at Forest.
Asked for the latest on Radu in his pre-match press conference on Friday morning, Ange responded: "It's a bit early to tell, he tweaked his ankle last night, felt like he couldn't continue, so we'll have to wait and see. We'll wait until he gets in (for training) today and assess him from there. Djed was also sent off, so we'll miss him as well, and from a physical perspective, tired bodies, but no further issues."
Asked about his defensive options, Ange added: "Not many... look, we're in a tough spot, we have been for a while. We've been getting through it for quite a while now and keeping our fingers crossed we don't get any more issues, but that's the nature of football, and with the fixture schedule we've had, we've always been on a fine line to get through. This is another test for us, but it is what it is and whatever we have to deal with, we'll deal with it and get ready for Sunday."
Guglielmo Vicario, Mikey Moore, Richarlison and Wilson Odobert also remain sidelined.
