Manchester United will be without Mason Mount for our Carabao Cup quarter-final at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday evening (8pm UK).
The playmaker was substituted alongside defender Noussair Mazraoui during the Manchester derby on Sunday and United's Head Coach Ruben Amorim has ruled Mount out, with Morocco international Mazraoui a doubt.
Speaking on MUTV on Wednesday to preview the tie, Amorim said: "Mason Mount is not available. He has an injury. Nous, we will see today. The rest of the squad are ready to play the game. We have to asses all the players and try not to get a lot of injuries. If we do that, we'll be stronger in these kind of moments."
Luke Shaw has been sidelined after suffering a recent setback, while Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford were left out of Sunday's derby. "They are training, so we will see," added Amorim. "If they cope with training and the engagement with team-mates, they will be ready to play."
