Loans | Solomon stars in big win for Leeds

Manor Solomon scored one and provided two assists to inspire Leeds United to a 4-0 home win over Oxford United on Saturday.

The on-loan forward skipped over three challenges before setting up Dan James to fire the hosts ahead inside nine minutes at Elland Road, then later teed up Brenden Aaronson to make it 3-0 before rounding off a sparkling performance with a goal of his own, crashing home from a tight angle 17 minutes from time.

Defender Jayden Bogle netted Leeds’ second goal.

Manor was substituted just after his strike as second-placed Leeds made a raft of changes, while fellow loanee Dane Scarlett came on for the final 12 minutes for Oxford United, who dropped into the Championship relegation zone off the back of Saturday’s defeat.
