Tamworth away in the third round of the FA Cup
Mon 02 December 2024, 19:30|Tottenham Hotspur
We have been drawn away against Tamworth of the National League in the third round of this season's Emirates FA Cup.
The third round of the competition will take place over the weekend of Saturday 11 January - the exact date and kick-off time of our tie, plus ticket information, will be confirmed in due course.
We remain the only non-league team to win the FA Cup having landed football's most famous club trophy as a Southern League side in 1901. Since joining the Football League in 1908, we've faced 11 non-league teams in the competition, the latest in lockdown against Marine in January, 2021, where Alfie Devine became our youngest player and goalscorer (16 years and 163 days) in a 5-0 win the the third round.
Currently 16th in the National League, Tamworth have twice toppled League One opposition to reach this stage for the first time since 2012. In the first round, they beat Huddersfield Town 1-0 at The Lamb Ground while in the second round on Sunday, they travelled to Burton's Pirelli Stadium and came through on penalties after a 1-1 draw - goalkeeper Jasbir Singh the hero with two saves in the shoot-out.

The second round action over the weekend produced some memorable moments for our players out on loan, as goalkeeper Josh Keeley sensationally scored for Leyton Orient to help them overcome Oldham Athletic, while George Abbott scored his first senior goal for Notts County in their 4-3 defeat at Peterborough United.
