It has been two years to the day since Celin Bizet became a Lilywhite and she acknowledges how much she has developed in that time.

The Norway international joined us on this exact date (10 August) in 2022, signing from French side Paris Saint-Germain, and since then, she has become an integral part of Robert Vilahamn’s attacking style of play.

Celin, 22, made 20 appearances in the Barclays Women’s Super League last term, just one of four players to have reached that mark in the squad, while featuring in every game in the 2022/23 campaign.

When reflecting on her journey with the Club so far, she added: “As a team and as an individual, there has been ups-and-downs, definitely been more positives, it has been two good years for me as a person and as a football player.

“I’m playing in one of the biggest leagues in the world at this fantastic club, I have appreciated every person I have met, whether that’s players or staff, and I have been growing a lot on this journey."

"I have developed a lot since I have joined, I came from being a youngster to being a player that can affect the team more."

Last term was one of the young forward’s best seasons in front of goal to date, netting four goals in the WSL, including a memorable solo strike against Liverpool, and highlighted that playing consistency has helped her growth.

“I have developed a lot since I have joined, I came from being a youngster to being a player that can affect the team more, started more consistently and played a lot of games, so I feel I’m a player that can help this club to continue progressing.

“I feel more comfortable in this league and what we face week in, week out, so I think it’s going to be another season where we continue our growth.”

Celin was a later arrival to pre-season at our Enfield training base due to competing in the international break at the start of July but has enjoyed seeing everyone and being back on the pitch.

“It has been lovely,” she said. “I was bored in the last two weeks of my holiday so I was happy to come back here and see everyone, I missed them all. I love to train, I love to play football and returning has given me a lot of energy. We have had some fun sessions and the group have put in plenty of energy.”

Looking ahead to the new campaign, Celin added: “As a team, we want to win more games and get more points than we did last season, while also developing and, for myself, I want to score goals and help out with assists.”
