We have reached agreement with Leicester City for the permanent transfer of Oliver Skipp.
An Academy graduate who began his journey with the Club at the age of five, Oliver progressed through our ranks to become an integral part of our youth teams and in 2018 earned his senior debut on our pre-season tour of the United States.
The midfielder made his competitive first team debut for the Club in a 3-1 win over West Ham in the Carabao Cup in October, 2018. His Premier League debut followed at the end of that year when he featured as a second-half substitute in a 3-1 victory over Southampton at Wembley.
In 2020/21, he enjoyed a successful loan spell at Norwich City, helping the Canaries secure top spot in the Championship, earning promotion to the Premier League. Virtually ever-present in the team, he featured 47 times across the campaign, scoring once and was named in the PFA’s Championship Team of the Year.
During his time with us, Oliver made 106 appearances in total across all competitions, reaching the century milestone for the Club in an FA Cup fixture against Manchester City in January, 2024. He registered his solitary goal in our colours when he scored in a 2-0 victory over Chelsea in February, 2023.
The 23-year-old has featured for England up to Under-21 level to date and in 2023 helped the Young Lions claim the UEFA European Championship.
We wish Oliver all the best for the future.
