Romero and Lo Celso called up for Argentina duty

Cristian Romero and Giovani Lo Celso have been named in the latest Argentina squad.

Regulars for the Argentina National Team, the duo have been called up ahead of La Selección next two qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Currently in the early stages of their qualification campaign having played just six games thus far, our Argentine pair have been selected for their nation's next two qualifiers against Chile and Colombia.

First up is the visit of Chile to Estadio Monumental in the capital of Bueons Aires in the early hours of Friday 6 September (1am UK) before they travel to take on Colombia at Estadio Metropolitano in Barranquilla on Tuesday 10 September (9.30pm UK).

Argentina currently sit top of the qualification table having picked up 15 points from their six games so far.

Recent victors at the 2024 Copa America in the USA and defending champions of the World Cup, Romero heads into the international break with 36 caps and three goals to his name. Gio, meanwhile, has 57 caps and three goals to his name.
