Our players have been reflecting on Monday night's Premier League opening draw at Leicester.

Despite dominating proceedings at the King Power as the curtain's were raised on our 2024/25 campaign, we were forced to settle for a point against the Foxes.

Leading at the break after Pedro Porro's glancing header on 28 minutes had capped off a very encouraging first half performance, we continued our dominance into the second half but couldn't quite capitalise on our momentum and superiority.

And we were made to pay for that just before the hour mark as the newly-promoted side hit us on the break, finding a leveller through Jamie Vardy. Our hosts flew into the ascendancy in the minutes that followed and we need to show a strong mentality to retake control. Something we ultimately did but frustratingly without the cutting edge to take all three points.

Here is how our players reflected on the performance and the result after the game...

James Maddison

"Premier league is back🙏 Not the result we wanted but positives to take and important we stay in a good mindset with a long season ahead🤍 Amazing feeling being back at the King Power Stadium. Thank you for the reception from those who clapped my name, honestly means a lot to me and my family because Leicester is and always will be special to me. Good luck for the season 💙"
