New deal for Gunter

We are delighted to announce that Luca Gunter has signed a new contract with the Club that will run until 2029.

The 19-year-old goalkeeper has continued to make progress in our Academy since joining us at the age of 12. Last season, he was a key part of the Under-21 team that won the Premier League 2 title, starring with a string of excellent saves as we finished first in the table before pushing on to win the play-offs to be crowned overall champions.

The season before that, Luca captained our youth team to win an unprecedented Under-17 and Under-18 Premier League Cup double.

He built on those achievements this summer by making his first senior appearances in our pre-season friendly victories at Heart of Midlothian and Queens Park Rangers, before travelling with Ange Postecoglou's squad for our pre-season tour of Asia.

On the international stage, Luca has been capped by England in numerous age categories up to Under-19 level to date.
