Coventry City away in Carabao Cup third round
Wed 28 August 2024, 23:00|Tottenham Hotspur
We have been drawn away to Coventry City in the third round of this season's Carabao Cup.
Third round ties will take place in the weeks commencing 16 and 23 September* and with Matchday 1 of the UEFA Europa League scheduled for 25/26 September, our third round tie will take place on Wednesday 18 September.
Kick-off time and ticket information will follow in due course.
Managed by Mark Robins, Championship side Coventry have beaten Bristol City and Oxford United to reach the third round. They are currently ninth in the table after three matches and showed cup pedigree by reaching the semi-finals of the FA Cup last season, when they agonisingly lost on penalties to Manchester United.
We last played City in the third round of the FA Cup in January, 2013 - a 3-0 win at White Hart Lane - while we last faced them in the League Cup at their previous Highfield Road stadium back in September, 2003, another 3-0 win. Indeed, this will be our first match at the Coventry Building Society Arena (formerly Ricoh Arena).
