Team news | Newcastle vs Spurs | Richarlison remains out
Fri 12 April 2024, 13:00|Tottenham Hotspur
Richarlison will be unavailable for Ange Postecoglou when we make the trip to Newcastle on Saturday lunchtime with the forward still recovering from a knee issue.
Having missed our last outing as we defeated Nottingham Forest 3-1 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last Sunday which saw us move up to fourth in the Premier League, Ange has confirmed our number nine has not yet recovered from the issue.
However, with a break in play next weekend - our previously scheduled league clash with Manchester City has been moved Tuesday 14 April - Ange believes the forward will have sufficient time to recover and return for our north London derby clash with Arsenal (28 April).
Speaking to SPURSPLAY for his exclusive pre-match interview, Ange said when asked on whether Richy would be available for the trip to St James' Park: "Not for this week. He's close and, obviously with the weekend off next weekend, it'll give him time to recover - and he's on track to do that.
"Everyone else from last weekend has got through unscathed and are ready to go."
Our long-term absentees Manor Solomon (Meniscus), Fraser Forster (foot) and Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) all remain sidelined.
