Eveliina Summanen and Olga Ahtinen helped Finland to their first victory in the Euro 2025 qualifying group as they defeated Italy 2-1 in Helsinki on Tuesday evening.
After falling behind in the first half, Finland fought back after the break to claim an important victory at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium.
Eveliina started the game and completed a full 90 minutes while Olga was a second half substitute, replacing Oona Siren in the 72nd minute.
Alongside Finland in group A1 is Celin Bizet’s Norway as her nation suffered a 1-0 loss to Netherlands in their second group game on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old, who scored last time out for her country in the 4-0 win over Finland, was named in the starting eleven and completed 69 minutes in Breda.
