Club celebrates partnership with Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice at north London derby

Fri 26 April 2024, 09:15|Tottenham Hotspur

Sunday’s north London derby against Arsenal at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will see the Club show its support for our Official Charity Partner, Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.

Noah's Ark supports babies, children, and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and their families, in North and Central London - helping them to make the most of every day.

• Sunday’s derby against Arsenal will see the Club show support for our Official Charity Partner, Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice
• Noah's Ark supports babies, children, and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and their families, in North and Central London – helping them to make the most of every day
• One of the children supported by Noah’s Ark, Freya, 8, will be leading the team out as mascot on the day
• Other activations at the game will include in-stadium branding, fundraisers, branded warm-up t-shirts and a pre-match pitch-side interview with Noah’s Ark CEO Sophie Andrews OBE

One of the thousands of inspirational children supported by Noah’s Ark, Freya, will be leading the team out as a mascot on the day.

Freya, age eight, has CCMS, a rare genetic condition with fewer than 100 cases in the world. At four weeks old, Freya was discharged from Great Ormond Street Hospital on end-of-life care. Her prognosis was days, maybe weeks, but Freya has far exceeded her prognosis, and while her mum Elina is aware further challenges could be on the way, the family has received support from Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice since Freya was just three months old.

Please give Freya a huge show of support as she enters the pitch alongside her heroes.

Additionally, fans attending the game will be able to support Noah’s Ark’s incredible work by donating via volunteer fundraisers located outside the stadium, in the Tottenham Experience and at Seven Sisters Station.

Fans can also be in with a chance of winning a signed Tottenham Hotspur football by making an optional donation to Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice via a dedicated text service*. Information on how to donate will be available on our digital signage in the stadium.

Earlier this month, James Maddison visited Noah’s Ark’s dedicated hospice facility in Barnet – which the Club helped raise funds to build as part of its long-term partnership – to spend time with children and families who benefit from the work of the charity.

James undertook a tour of The Ark with Chief Executive Sophie Andrews OBE, visiting The Therapies Wing and The Accessible Playground before meeting with families and hearing their stories of courage. At the end of the visit, the England international gifted a hamper of Spurs-themed games and toys to the Ark for the children to enjoy beyond his visit.

Fans arriving at the Arsenal game early will be able to catch a pitch-side interview with Sophie live on the big screen to reflect on James’ visit, discuss the work done by the charity, and much more. The interview will take place while our players warm up in bespoke Noah’s Ark t-shirts.

Donna-Maria Cullen, Executive Director, Tottenham Hotspur, said: “Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice has been our Official Charity Partner since 2016, and we remain in awe of the incredible work the charity does for children and families across north and central London.

“The north London derby is the ideal platform on which to showcase their work and the dedication of Noah’s Ark staff in delivering support, respite and special memories to those in the heart of both our clubs’ communities.”

Sophie Andrews OBE, CEO of Noah's Ark Children's Hospice said: "We are incredibly proud of our partnership with Tottenham Hotspur and delighted that they have dedicated this day to us. These events give us the chance to shout about the work we do, reaching more people and raising vital funds for children who are seriously unwell and their families.”
