Brennan Johnson has received a glowing endorsement from Spurs and Wales legend Gareth Bale.
The Wales international joined from Nottingham Forest on 1 September after impressing in his debut season in the Premier League last term, featuring in every league game and registering eight goals and three assists to help his former side remain in the division.
After representing the Dragons in their 0-0 draw with Heung-Min Son’s South Korea on Thursday and crucial Euro 2024 qualifying victory over Latvia on Monday to register his 22nd cap, the 22-year-old joined up with Ange Postecoglou and his new team-mates this morning (Wednesday 13 September) for the first time since his move from the City Ground.

Our number 22 will be keen to hit the ground running in north London and is in contention to make his debut for the Club when we take on Sheffield United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday (3pm kick-off) looking to extend our unbeaten start to the league campaign.
As one of our modern-day greats, Gareth Bale knows what it takes to become a star for both Club and country, with 53 goals in 166 league games in Lilywhite while he is Wales’ record goalscorer and appearance holder, and the legendary forward has backed Brennan to follow a similar trajectory by playing consistently and striving to improve in our colours.
“He’s doing well,” affirmed Gareth, speaking during his appearance at the BMW PGA Championship. “I think the more he plays now in the top flight, the better he’ll get and the sky is the limit.
“As long as he’s playing football, improving and doing well it’s good for Tottenham and good for Wales as well.”
