Team news from Arsenal - Martinelli a doubt

Mikel Arteta will make a late decision on Gabriel Martinelli's availability ahead of Sunday's north London derby in the Premier League at the Emirates (2pm).

The winger was forced off with a hamstring problem in the first half of Arsenal's 1-0 win against Everton at Goodison last weekend, an issue that sidelined him for the Gunners' Champions League win against PSV on Wednesday evening.

Arteta hasn't ruled him out yet, though, unlike midfielder Thomas Partey, who remains out with a groin injury sustained before the recent international break.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Arteta said: "With Gabi we are still assessing him, so let's see if he can make the game or not. Thomas, for sure, is out. The rest we hope are available. Yes, we still have two training sessions, but there were no big issues in midweek."
