Fri 15 September 2023, 17:40|Tottenham Hotspur

We’re back in action at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday in what is our second home league game of the season, following a trio of away matches in all competitions prior to the international break.

Sheffield United are the visitors for a 3pm kick-off – here’s all you need to know about the game...

How can I watch the game?

Saturday’s match against Sheffield United (kick-off 3pm UK) has not been selected for live broadcast in the UK.

That means the only way to follow all the action in-depth if you’re not at the stadium is via our Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app.

We’ll have full live radio commentary available as usual courtesy of BBC Radio London, complemented by live text updates, images, in-game stats and more.

Video highlights will be available on SPURSPLAY from two hours after the game, with extended highlights and a full match replay available from midnight on the same platform.

In addition, you can get closer to the action by joining us for The Warm-Up, our new pre-match show emanating from inside the stadium, from 2.15pm UK time on SPURSPLAY and our official YouTube channel, with The Review Show available from two hours after the full-time whistle on SPURSPLAY.

Worldwide broadcast listings are available here.

What is the team news?

Ange Postecoglou has reported that all of our players returned from their international duties unscathed.

However, Giovani Lo Celso is unlikely to be available for Saturday’s game as he continues his recovery from a muscle injury picked up in our Carabao Cup second round tie at Fulham last month.

Summer signing Alejo Veliz has begun training with the squad and could be available soon, but Rodrigo Bentancur, Bryan Gil, Ryan Sessegnon and Alfie Whiteman remain out.

Brennan Johnson could make his debut after completing his move from Nottingham Forest on transfer deadline day just before the international break.

Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom has a number of injury concerns with George Baldock, Will Osula and John Egan picking up knocks on international duty, joining longer-term absentees John Fleck, Rhian Brewster and Rhys Norrington-Davies on the sidelines.

Bosnia defender Anel Ahmedhodzic is available, as is Yasser Larouci.

Who is the referee?

Peter Bankes will referee Saturday’s match, assisted by Eddie Smart and Nick Greenhalgh.

The fourth official will be David Webb.

On VAR duty this week will be Graham Scott, along with assistant Wade Smith.

What colours will the teams be playing in?

We’ll be in our new all-Lilywhite home strip, with our goalkeeper in light blue.

Sheffield United will arrive in their change strip of all yellow.

Their goalkeeper will wear mint green.

What will the weather conditions be like?

It’s due to be sunny with a gentle breeze at the game on Saturday, with temperatures reaching 25 degrees.
