Maddison tops Premier League assists chart

James Maddison has moved to the top of the list for the number of assists provided in the Premier League in 2023/24.
Having created both of our goals at the Emirates Stadium as we drew 2-2 with Arsenal on Sunday, James now has four assists to his name in the top flight so far this campaign.
Getting off to a flyer on the opening weekend with both assists in our 2-2 draw with Brentford, he has now added another brace to that tally with a double against the Gunners - both Wolves' Pedro Neto and Liverpool's Mohamed Salah have also provided four.
Madders has now been involved in six goals for us in the top flight since his summer move from Leicester City (two goals and four assists). Since the start of the 2021/22 season, he has been involved in 45 goals (24 scored, 21 assists) in the league.
