James Maddison has been shortlisted for the Premier League Player of the Month award for August.
Our summer signing from Leicester City has enjoyed quite the start to life in Lilywhite with three goals involvements in as many league outings in August before he added another goal to his collection in Saturday's 5-2 win at Burnley.
Beginning the campaign with a bang as he assisted both of our goals in our opening weekend 2-2 draw at Brentford, he then scored his first goal for the Club as we travelled to Bournemouth two weeks later, guiding home from inside the box at the Vitality to set us on our way to a 2-0 win at the Vitality Stadium.
This is the fifth time in James' career to date that he has been nominated for the award (September, 2018, January, 2021, December, 2021, December, 2022), but he has yet to take the prize.
For this month's award, 'Madders' faces competition from Nottingham Forest's Taiwo Awoniyi, West Ham United's Jarrod Bowen, Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo, Brighton's Kaoru Mitoma ad Manchester City's Rodri.
As usual, fan votes will help to decide the winners - cast your vote via the link below to give your backing to James. Voting closes at 12noon on Monday 11 September. The winner will then be announced on Friday 15 September at 11am.
