Ange claims August's Premier League Manager of the Month award
Fri 15 September 2023, 12:00|Tottenham Hotspur
Ange Postecoglou has been named the Premier League Manager of the Month for August.
Appointed as our Head Coach back in June, Ange has enjoyed a nigh-on-perfect start to life in the Premier League which saw us head into the September international break second in the table.
Joining us from Celtic where he had led the Glasgow side to five of six possible domestic honours in his two campaigns in charge, the Australian has brought his front-footed, high-pressing, attacking style to north London and it has certainly made an impact so far.
Beginning with a 2-2 draw away at Brentford on the opening weekend, Ange has since led us to three wins on the spin in the top flight, seeing us defeat Manchester United and then Bournemouth (both 2-0) before we stormed to a 5-2 victory at Burnley last time out.
This, naturally, is the first time Ange has ever won the award, and he is the first manager since Huddersfield Town's David Wagner to claim the prize in their first month in the top flight.
The award comes a day after Ange was shortlisted for the Best FIFA Men's Coach 2023.
