It's positive news on the injury front as Ange Postecoglou has reported that all of our returning internationals reported back unscathed.
After concerns were raised for the likes of Cristian Romero and Heung-Min Son during the break as both appeared to pick up knocks, Ange has confirmed that the pair are fine ahead of joining up with the rest of the squad for a few days training in preparation for Fulham on Monday night (8pm kick-off).
With Yves Bissouma serving his one-match suspension after his sending off against Luton Town last time out, this is pleasing news on the availability front heading into the Cottagers clash.
"We have no issues around availability for Monday at this stage," said Ange. "We have a couple more days so it helps we have a Monday night game and there are no issues around those coming back."
Ange also provided an update on Brennan Johnson and Bryan Gil revealing the two-week international break has been a useful period of time for these players to progress as they get closer to full match fitness with both in line for a place in the matchday squad.
"Brennan's had a good couple of weeks training," added our Head Coach. "The flip side of players going away is that we can work with the ones that are here so Brennan and Bryan were players that haven't played a lot of football so far have progressed well through the international break - we'll see how they go on Monday night in Brennan's case. It was a really solid block of training for those guys."
Ange however did confirm that long-term absentees Ryan Sessegnon and Rodrigo Bentancur remain unavailable but provided encouraging signs for Rodrigo who is back training with the squad.
"Sess is still a fair bit of time away, he's longer term," explained the Australian. "Rodrigo has been training, he's now fully integrated into the group which is great. He's missed a lot of football so we're measured in how we re-introduce him but the more he trains with the lads he'll feel more like himself and it'll be good to get him back amongst it."
