Heung-Min Son has shown his appreciation to fans after being awarded the Premier League's Player of the Month for September.
Our Club captain netted six goals in four matches last month as we continued our unbeaten start to the season with victories over Burnley, Sheffield United and Liverpool and a draw with Arsenal.
The 31-year-old got off to a flying start to open his 2023/24 account with a hat-trick at Turf Moor, following it up with a double in the north London derby at the Emirates - our first player to achieve this feat in the league - and scored the opener in our 2-1 victory over Liverpool.
The South Korea captain wins the award for the fourth time in his career - his last coming back in October, 2020 - to take him past Gareth Bale and move three behind Harry Kane's seven.
Currently away on international duty with the Korean national team, Sonny had this thank you message for those who voted for him.
"Hi everyone, it’s Sonny here. I’m currently away with the Korean national team but I have just found out I’ve been awarded Premier League's Player of the Month.
“I just want to say thank you to everyone who voted for me and we want to keep up our good form. I can’t wait to see you all at our next game against Fulham. Come on you Spurs!”
