Richarlison’s Brazil held by Venezuela

Richarlison was in action for Brazil in their World Cup qualifier at home to Venezuela in the early hours of this morning (Friday 13 October).

The forward was named in the starting line-up and was on the pitch when Gabriel Magalhaes headed the hosts in front shortly after half-time.

Richy was withdrawn just prior to the hour mark, replaced by Gabriel Jesus, but Eduard Bello scored an overhead kick for Venezuela five minutes from time to ensure the game ended 1-1.

Brazil dropped to second in the qualifying standings after three games as a result.
