Troy Parrott was the hero for Excelsior Rotterdam on Sunday as he scored a 94th-minute winner to help his side claim the spoils in the Rotterdam derby.
On loan for the season at the Eredivisie club, Troy stepped off the bench with eight minutes remaining at the Van Donge & De Roo Stadium with the scores level at 1-1 to volley home the winner, lashing home in the fourth minute of stoppage time to give Excelsior their first win over their city rivals in five years.
The goal was the Irishman's second in his last two outings for the Roodzwarten having also come off the bench and struck as Excelsior defeated Heerenveen 3-0 last weekend.
Speaking after scoring the winner in the Rotterdam derby, Troy said, "What I wanted to do was put the ball in the goal, and that's what I did, so it's good.
"I hoped it would be the winner. I didn't feel there would be much time left, so I'm really happy. It's special scoring but scoring in this game and in the last kicks is different - it is a feeling you can't explain - so I'm really happy."
Troy was later asked how he is settling in after making the move across the North Sea.
"Yes (I'm fully settled in), for sure, and this is what I had in mind when I came," he said. "This is what I wanted to come and score goals and help the team."
