James Maddison has been called up to the England squad for upcoming matches against Australia and Italy.
The midfielder is in the squad for a double-header at Wembley Stadium as the Three Lions take on Australia in a friendly on Friday week (13 October, 7.45pm), before a UEFA Euro 2024 qualifier against Italy on Tuesday 17 October (7.45pm).
Registering his fourth cap and first as a Spurs player with a starting role in a 1-1 draw with Ukraine in the last Euro qualifier on 9 September, ‘Madders’ has been in inspired form in the Premier League with two goals and four assists in seven games and his early season performances led to him being awarded the top flight's Player of the Month for the first time back in August.
