Brighton vs Spurs (WSL) | How to watch, team news, kit colours, key information

Sat 14 October 2023, 16:30|Tottenham Hotspur

We’re back on the road for our third game of the Women’s Super League season this weekend as we make the trip to the AMEX Stadium to take on Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday (4pm UK).

Both sides have won one and lost one so far in the WSL and are coming into the game off the back of convincing midweek victories in the Conti Cup.

Here’s all you need to know ahead of the match...

How can I watch the game?

Sunday’s match will be streamed live on The FA Player, kick-off 4pm UK.

You can also keep across all the action via live updates on our official social media pages or the Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com.

Video highlights will be available on SPURSPLAY on Monday.

What is the team news?

Forward Celin Bizet, full-back Ashleigh Neville and goalkeeper Becky Spencer are all available after being rested for the midweek Conti Cup tie against Reading.

Bethany England (hip) and Ellie Brazil (ACL) remain sidelined for us.

As for Brighton, they have named the same starting line-up for both of their opening two WSL games before making nine changes in their cup win over Birmingham City in midweek, with eight players making their full debuts for the club.

Having lost 2-0 at home to West Ham last time out in the league, it remains to be seen if coach Melissa Phillips will make changes for this match in the wake of that impressive victory over the Blues.

Who is the referee?

Kirsty Dowle will officiate Sunday’s game, assisted by Emily Carney and Harley Hetherington.

Steven Hughes will be the fourth official.

What colours will the teams be playing in?

Brighton will wear their usual blue and white stripes, with their goalkeeper in yellow.

We’ll be wearing our taupe haze third kit this weekend.

Our goalkeeper will wear the third-choice goalkeeper’s kit of dark green, which is yet to be used in any game for us this season.

What will the weather conditions be like?

A bright, sunny day is forecast in Brighton on Sunday, although it’ll still feel chilly at times. Temperatures should reach 11 degrees during the game.
