"A childhood dream" - Micky on his international debut

Micky van de Ven was delighted to make his international debut on Friday night.
Having made an incredible start to his Spurs career this season after making the move from VfL Wolfsburg in the summer, the defender was rewarded by his national team manager, Ronald Koeman, with his senior Netherlands debut, coming against France in Amsterdam.
Earning his first call-up to his national team's senior side in September having adapted to life in the Premier League almost instantly, the centre back has had to bide his time for his moment in the famous orange of the Netherlands - but it was certainly worth the wait.
Entering the fray at the Johan Cruyff Arena in the 80th minute with his nation trailing 2-0 in their Euro 2024 qualifier, Micky's impact was instant with the defender involved in the move that saw the Netherlands halve the deficit three minutes later - former Spur Steven Bergwijn assisting Quilindschy Hartman.
Our number 37 also demonstrated his incredible speed, beating Chelsea's Malo Gusto in a 40-yard sprint to cut out a potential France attack.
Reflecting on his debut on his official instagram channel, Micky van de Ven said...
"A childhood 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺, very happy with my @OnsOranje debut 🦁🙏🏼.
