Reece James could make his first start in the Premier League since the opening weekend of the season when we face Chelsea at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Monday night (8pm).
The England international and Chelsea's captain picked up a hamstring issue as the Blues drew with Liverpool at Stamford Bridge in August and had to wait until this week's Carabao Cup win against Blackburn Rovers to make his full return - James played 61 minutes as his side moved into the quarter-finals.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday, Mauricio Pochettino said: "We’ll see first of all if he is available and then if my decision is to play with him from the start. He was okay after playing an hour against Blackburn. I think it was good for him to start the game and to feel him there again after a few months for the team, because he is our captain and he is a very important player. Now we need to assess him, if he’s ready or not to start on Monday."
Pochettino hinted ahead of the Blackburn match that winger Mykhailo Mudryk could return, while striker Armando Broja, missing since the start of October, could also be back in the squad after returning to training. Chelsea remain without Trevoh Chalobah, Ben Chilwell, Carney Chukwuemeka, Wesley Fofana, Romeo Lavia and Christopher Nkunku.
