Robert Vilahamn has revealed that Ellie Brazil is facing another spell on the sidelines after picking up a knock against Leicester City last weekend.
The striker recently marked her return to action after more than a year out with an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury with a substitute appearance against Liverpool but after again coming off the bench at the King Power Stadium, she picked up another unrelated problem and is not available for Sunday’s trip to Manchester City (6.45pm UK, live on Sky Sports).
“Ellie Brazil had a duel in the Leicester game which has made her unavailable for a few weeks,” said Head Coach Robert. “It’s not a big injury but she will not be in the squad for this weekend.”
Olga Ahtinen (knee), Drew Spence (hamstring) and Bethany England (hip) remain sidelined.
“Bethany is taking steps every week, she’s in most of the sessions during training right now so she is taking steps but it’s still too early to take her this weekend,” added Robert. “Olga is doing her rehab and Drew is getting closer but she is still also not available – otherwise, we have a full squad.”
