Heung-Min Son netted a sublime strike as he led South Korea to a comfortable 5-0 win over Singapore in a FIFA World Cup qualifier on Thursday.
Goals just either side of half-time from Cho Gue-sung and Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Hwang Hee-chan had put the Reds in control before our Club captain made it three in the 63rd minute with a trademark finish, cutting in from the right channel and curling a left-footed finish from 22 yards out high into the top corner.

That took the 31-year-old's international tally to 39 goals with Hwang Ui-Jo's penalty and Lee Kang-in rounding off the scoreline in Seoul as Sonny went on to play the full 90 minutes to help his side kickstart their Asian Football Confederation (AFC) qualification campaign for the 2026 World Cup in fine style.
Our number seven won his 115th cap for his nation and up next for Jurgen Klinsmann's side is a trip to Shenzhen to face China in Group C next Tuesday (21 November).
