Troy Parrott recent goalscoring form in the Eredivisie has been reward by the Republic of Ireland as he has been recalled by his national team ahead of the November break.
Having missed out on the last two Republic squads, Troy has been selected once more after a run of scoring three goals in his last six outings for loan side Excelsior Rotterdam in the Dutch top flight.
The forward joins up with the Boys in Green ahead of their final Euro 2024 qualifier which will see Troy return to the nation where he is currently plying his trade as Ireland will take on the Netherlands in Amsterdam on Saturday 18 November (kick-off 7.45pm UK). While the Republic are unable to qualify for the tournament as they sit six points off the Netherlands, who occupy the final qualification place, it is a vital game for the Dutch as they are level on points with Greece with two games to play.
Ireland's second outing of the break will be a friendly with New Zealand in Dublin on Tuesday 21 November (kick-off 7.45pm UK).
Troy has 20 caps and four goals for his nation going into the break.
