The report in full...

Two late, late strikes at Molineux condemned us to a second Premier League defeat in a week as we fell 2-1 at Wolves on Saturday afternoon.

Having enjoyed the most perfect of starts against Wanderers as Brennan Johnson bagged his first goal for the Club on three minutes to give us an early advantage, we were, for the most part, second best to the West Midlands side across the 90 minutes.

Relentlessly harrying us throughout the game, their dominance showed in the statistics as they hit 17 shots to our six and, despite us showing incredible resilience, it was eventually broken. Pablo Sarabia levelled spectacularly for the hosts on 90 minutes with a stinging volley before Mario Lemina steered home as we chased a winner in the seventh minute of injury time to see all three points stay in Wolverhampton.

We did enjoy the majority of the ball in the first half of play at Molineux and looked to be on course to control proceedings after Johnson tapped home Pedro Porro's low cross from close range. That, though, was our only effort on target and one of our only two opportunities all half.

Instead, it was out hosts who made life difficult for us, constantly harrying and pressing us, stretching our backline with speed and directness. The only thing they lacked was precision, and that crucial, killer final ball.

Ben Davies produced a superb block to deny Rayan Ait-Nouri from 8 yards out on 10 minutes before Guglielmo Vicario saw a handful of efforts come his way - Mario Lemina and Rayan Ait-Nouri's angled drive on 33 and 37, in particular, demanded exceptional stops.

There was a great appetite from the hosts and that continued in the second period, which was shown in the number of times they were able to breakthrough our ranks. On 53 minutes, Matheus Cunha was able to progress 20 yards and into our area before skewing the ball wide. Hwang Hee-Chan then did similar moments later, but this time with the goal gaping.

Despite the hosts' seemingly unrelenting pressure, we almost caught them on the break to seal all three points on 72 minutes. A neat interchange between Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Heung-Min Son saw the former released, he crossed early for Johnson but he clipped his effort from 22 yards out wide of the mark.

And, with that miss, the threat of Wolves continued to show. Moments later, Ben Davies had to be on red alert to clear down the other end as former Spur Matt Doherty was ready to tap in from close range. Substitute Sasa Kalajdzic then sent a free-header wide of the target.

It would be fair to say though that our presence did grow as the game moved into the late stages as Gary O'Neil's side seemingly grew frustrated. With two minutes remaining, we had an opportunity to seal all three points but we couldn't take it. Sonny's deflected effort fell to Kulusevski, he then pulled the ball back for Giovani Lo Celso, whose fierce shot from range was tipped over by Jose Sa.

We had produced a strong resistance up until that point but it was to be undone in the final minute of normal time. A superb clipped pass from Cunha picked out the run of Sarabia before he controlled and whipped an astonishing volley into the near post.

As we chased a winner, we were then caught out as the hosts were roared on by the home faithful. Sarabia turned provider, feeding Lemina who steered home from close range to leave us frustrated on the road.

Ange's verdict

"Obviously, a hard one to take right at the end. The lads gave everything they could. We probably ran out of legs towards the end. Wolves were always going to come at us and scored a couple of good goals, to be fair to them. So, yes, disappointing for us to concede so late. We started well in terms of scoring the goal, but in the first half I felt we could have been we could have been a little more positive in our play. I just felt we played within ourselves a little, maybe because of the scoreline, we were winning 1-0, and maybe we could have been more positive. I thought the second half was a little better. We created some chances but, in the end, Wolves scored the goals they needed."
