Clinton named in latest England squad

Tue 21 November 2023, 11:15|Tottenham Hotspur

Grace Clinton has been named in the senior England squad for December's UEFA Women’s Nations League matches against the Netherlands and Scotland.

Signed on loan from Manchester United over the summer, the creative midfielder has started all seven Women's Super League games so far this term and scored her second goal in our colours with the opener in our 1-1 draw with Everton on 5 November.

The 20-year-old, who made history as the first player to earn a maiden call-up into the senior Lionesses’ ranks while playing for us back in October, has again been rewarded by England boss Serina Wiegman this morning ahead of a home tie against the Orange Lionesses at Wembley Stadium on Friday 1 December before a trip to Hampden Park four days later.

Twice an unused substitute in the Nations League double-header against Belgium last time out, Grace will be looking to go one step further to earn her first senior cap as England prepare for two must-win games in order to progress from Group A.

Full details of all our international call-ups will be confirmed next week ahead of the start of the latest women’s international window.
