Team news | Ryan optimistic on Lenglet’s availability for Villa

Ryan Mason is hopeful Clement Lenglet will be part of the squad for our huge Premier League clash at Villa on Saturday (3pm).
The France defender was forced off late in last week’s 1-0 win against Palace with a muscle issue. However, he has returned to train with the squad and the signs are positive for his involvement at Villa Park. We travel to Birmingham in sixth place, three points ahead of Unai Emery's team in eighth.
Speaking to SPURSPLAY after training on Friday, Acting Head Coach Ryan told us: “We hope he’ll be okay. We’re quite optimistic about him, he trained yesterday, so hopefully he’ll be alright for the weekend.”
A reminder that Hugo Lloris (hip), Rodrigo Bentancur (knee) and Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) have been ruled out for the season. Emerson Royal made a successful return from a knee injury and started the win against Palace last week.
