Our 2022/23 campaign concludes this afternoon with a trip to Leeds United (4.30pm kick-off).

Here in the Notebook, take a look at the game’s key points of note.

1 - Strong against Leeds

Despite enduring a nine-game winless run against Leeds in the Premier League between November, 1997, and November, 2001, in recent seasons, we have come out on top in this fixture with eight wins in our last 10 meetings, including three consecutive victories.

2 - Last meeting

Last time out against Leeds, we came from behind three times to clinch victory in a seven-goal thriller at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The visitors scored through Crysencio Summerville and a brace from Rodrigo, but we kept coming back with Harry Kane and Ben Davies twice drawing us level, before Rodrigo Bentancur scored a three-minute brace to turn the game around.

Highlights - Spurs 4-3 Leeds

3 - Leeds away

In the Premier League era, Elland Road has proven to be a challenging ground for us with just three wins in 14 visits (D3 L8). However, in recent years, we have won two of our last three visits to the home of the Whites, including a 4-0 victory in our previous encounter.

4 - Difficulties on the road

We make the trip to West Yorkshire looking to turnaround our patchy away form having lost each of our last three while we are winless on the road since a 1-0 victory at Fulham on 23 January. Overall, we are going through a tricky spell with one win in our last seven league games (D1 L5).

5 - Firing on final day

Despite our recent form, we can take a lot of positives from our impressive record in Premier League finales. In the last 12 seasons, we have nine wins, two draws and only one defeat, including a 5-0 win at Norwich City last term, in our final outings of the respective seasons.

6 - Kane’s final day record

In curtain closers, Harry Kane has scored in each of the last five campaigns and has a league record nine goals. The goalscoring records have tumbled in a superb season for 'H', who has already bagged the all-time top scorer title for both Club and country, most headed goals (10) and most league games scored in during a single campaign (25). Time for one more? A goal against Leeds will see him equal Andrew Cole's record of 26 games scored in, achieved in a 42-game season in 1993/94.

7 - Arch-pragmatist Allardyce

In the bottom three with four games to go, the Whites turned to the tried and tested top-flight experience of Sam Allardyce - their third manager of the season after Jesse Marsch and Javi Gracia - in one last roll of the dice to stave off relegation. However, away defeats to Manchester City (1-2) and West Ham United (1-3) came either side of a 2-2 home draw with Newcastle United, leaving them winless in eight games and needing a victory to stand any chance of survival. A win today might not even be enough to keep Leeds in the Premier League - they will need Bournemouth to overcome Everton, as well as getting the better of us, if they are to retain their top-flight status.

8 - Reliable Rodrigo

Leeds forward Rodrigo is having his best goalscoring season in England, having scored 13 in 30 games - as many as he had managed in his previous two campaigns combined (13 in 57 games). After netting a double in the reverse fixture, that took the Spain international's tally to three goals in four appearances against us and makes him the only member of their squad to have scored more than once in this league fixture.
