Leeds v Spurs – how to watch, team news, kit colours, key information

Sat 27 May 2023, 18:50|Tottenham Hotspur

The final day of the Premier League season is upon us as we travel to Leeds United on Sunday (kick-off 4.30pm UK).

The hosts will be desperate to take three points as they bid to escape relegation – only a win would be sufficient for them, with Everton and Leicester’s results also needing to go in their favour – while a victory for us could see us secure seventh spot and a place in the UEFA Europa Conference League, providing Aston Villa drop points at home to Brighton.

Ahead of what promises to be a dramatic day, here’s all the key information you need to know...

How can I watch the game?

Sunday’s match will be broadcast live in the UK on BT Sport 1, with talkSPORT 2 carrying radio commentary.

You can also follow all the action via our Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app, where you’ll find minute-by-minute text and audio commentary, goal alerts, stats and much more.

Video highlights will be available on SPURSPLAY from two hours after the game, with the full 90 minutes available to watch on demand from midnight.

Worldwide broadcast listings are available here.

What is the team news?

Midfielder Pierre Emile-Hojbjerg has returned to training and will be assessed after missing last weekend’s home defeat to Brentford.

Defenders Cristian Romero and Eric Dier are out, along with the trio of Rodrigo Bentancur, Hugo Lloris and Ryan Sessegnon.

Speaking to SPURSPLAY after training on Friday, Acting Head Coach Ryan Mason said: “Cuti is out, Pierre has trained this week and we’ll see how he is tomorrow. It’s disappointing to have lost some key players in our squad, but that’s the reality. We trust the players and whatever team is on the pitch, we’ll have full confidence in them.”

As for Leeds, their top scorer Rodrigo trained this week despite picking up a knock in last weekend’s defeat by West Ham.

Junior Firpo is back from suspension but Patrick Bamford is a doubt with a hamstring problem.

What colours will the teams be playing in?

Leeds will play in their usual all-white strip, with their goalkeeper in orange.

That means we’ll be wearing our away kit, which features dark blue and black shirts with volt green detailing, plus black shorts and volt green socks.

Our keeper will wear yellow.

Who is the referee?

Anthony Taylor will take charge of Sunday’s game at Elland Road.

He will be assisted by Gary Beswick and Adam Nunn, with David Webb as the fourth official.

Michael Salisbury will be on VAR duties, assisted by Neil Davies.

What will the weather conditions be like?

It’ll stay dry on Sunday, although temperatures won’t be as high as they have been in recent days. The forecast suggests there’ll be light cloud and a gentle breeze in Leeds, with temperatures at around 16 degrees.
