Celin Bizet was in high spirits following Saturday’s 4-1 win against Reading, as we secured our Barclays Women’s Super League status in the penultimate game of the season at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Norwegian international was one of our three goalscorer on the day, getting her second goal in Lilywhite with a tidy finish into the bottom left corner following a brilliant team move behind her in midfield.
It’s a good place for me to be and this team can go so far
Speaking to SPURSPLAY, Celin told us: “I can’t really remember, I didn’t see my goal, but I think it was some pop, pop, pop and then I was through! I was stressed, but I saw the target was open so I put it there.
“It was amazing, I have no words. It’s a long time since we had a game like this. Four goals - that’s where we should be every game. We had lots of shots on target and crosses, which is exactly what we practiced on, so we’re really happy.
“It’s a really good feeling. It’s been our challenge in the past games. We’re a new team with new players this season, and we can see now it’s improving and we’re all very happy.”
“That was our goal today. Everyone is ten kilos lighter and so happy.”
Celin went on to tell us how much she’s settled into Spurs during her first season at the Club, and how hopeful she is looking ahead to 2023/24.
“It’s my first season here, so it’s been challenging with moving to a new team in a new country,” she said. “Now I feel like it’s a good place to be for me, a good challenge and the league is one of the best, if not the best in the world. This team can go so far so I’m really excited for next season.”
