Harry Kane claimed another Premier League record on Saturday afternoon.
Opening the scoring in our clash with Brentford with a stunning curling effort from range on eight minutes, it was the 25th different game Harry has scored in this season alone. That saw him take the record for most games scored in during a single campaign in the competition from Liverpool's Mohamed Salah - a record our number 10 had equalled last Saturday in our 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa.
The goal was the forward's 28th in the league this campaign, while it was his 30th in all competitions - it is the fifth time he has reached that tally in a season (2014/15 - 31, 2016/17 - 35, 2017/18 - 41, 2020/21 - 33 and now 2022/23 - 30 with one game still to play).
It has been an outstanding season for Harry. Not only did he become our all-time leading goalscorer in February with his 267th goal (now 278) for the Club, he also became England's record goalscorer the following month with his 54th for the Three Lions (now 55). He has also moved into second in the Premier League's all-time top goalscorers list - he's now on 211, 49 behind Alan Shearer (260).
Testament to our number 10's incredible season, on Thursday, he was announced as one of the nominees for the Premier League Player of the Season award. He was also named the winner of each of our three Supporters' Club awards - One Hotspur Player of the Season, One Hotspur Juniors' Player of the Season and Official Supporters’ Clubs’ Player of the Season - after the full-time whistle.
