We’re back in Premier League action following the conclusion the international break this Monday night as we travel to Everton (8pm).

Here's a look at the game’s key points of note…

1 - Stellini's first game as Acting Head Coach

Cristian Stellini will take charge for the first time as Acting Head Coach following Antonio Conte’s departure on Sunday. Cristian said he was ‘honoured’ to take the role until the end of the season and wants to ‘bring everyone with us’ as we head into our final 10 league games of the campaign, starting with our trip to Merseyside.

2 – A Premier League constant

Our meetings against Everton have been a constant fixture since the Premier League's inception in 1992 with 61 encounters to date. Across these games, we have a record number of wins (29) against a single opponent and could reach 30 victories against a specific club in the competition for the first time. The same can be said for league goals scored against the Blues (97), needing three more to hit a century against a team for the first time.

3 – Our recent record vs Everton

In recent seasons, we have enjoyed a strong record against the Toffees. In our last 20 Premier League meetings, we only lost once with 10 wins and nine draws. At Goodison Park, we are unbeaten in our last nine visits (W3 D6), although the last three have ended level.

4 – Last time out

Our last outing against the Toffees saw Harry Kane mark his 400th Club appearance with our opening goal from the penalty spot before Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s finish four minutes from time earned us a 2-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in October. That victory lifted us to 23 points after 10 games - our highest ever tally at that stage of a Premier League season.

5 – Kane vs the Toffees

Speaking of our all-time record scorer, this is a fixture Harry has relished in the past. With 14 goals and to his name against the Toffees in the league, he seems to savour facing them - only against Leicester City (18) has he scored more in the top flight. He also has netted six braces against Everton and is one double away from equalling the Premier League record of multiple goals against a single team.

6 – Our clean sheet record

At the other end of the pitch, we have kept 24 clean sheets in the league against Everton which is more than against any other opponent. This record includes consecutive clean sheets in our last three meetings (2-0, 5-0 and 0-0).

7 – New dawn under Dyche

Everton appointed Sean Dyche at the end of January, replacing Frank Lampard with the Toffees second bottom after 20 games. Dyche led his side to a 1-0 home win over Arsenal in his first game in charge and they have won three of their last four league games at Goodison Park since - as many wins as in their previous 12 games in the competition.

8 - Inconsistent Blues

In Everton’s eight league games since Dyche took charge, they might be second only to Merseyside rivals Liverpool when it comes to clean sheets (three) but they have also conceded the second highest amount of goals in that time (12).

9 – Monday night lights

We have enjoyed playing on a Monday night of late and are unbeaten in our last five Premier League games on this day (W4 D1). Interestingly, two of those victories have been against Everton (5-0 & 1-0) and one was a 1-0 win versus Dyche’s Burnley in October, 2020.

10 – 100-club for Sonny?

Heung-Min Son could make history tonight at Goodison Park. Our South Korean star comes into this game on 99 Premier League goals meaning, if he finds the back of the net tonight, he'll enter the Premier League 100 club. In doing so, he will become the first Asian player to reach that milestone.
