"It's a tough place and opponent, but we are in a good moment" - Sonny on the Blades

Heung-Min Son has underlined the importance of tonight's FA Cup tie with Sheffield United as we look to make real progress in the competition.

Taking on the Blades in the competition's fifth round, we know we'll have to be at our best to reach the quarter-finals with Paul Heckingbottom's side flying high in the Championship - they currently sit second as they push intently for a return to the Premier League.

In light of that, Sonny - who returns to our starting line-up tonight - knows just how tough an opponent United can be, especially having been part of our last side to taste defeat at Bramall Lane, a 3-1 loss in July, 2020. It has also not escaped his mind that, at this stage of the competition last term, we fell to second tier opposition with Middlesbrough edging us 1-0 on Teesside.

That said though, it would be fair to say our number seven seemingly enjoys facing this evening's opponents, as, in just four appearances against them, he has five goal involvements to his name (two goals, three assists).

"I think this is really important (for us)," Sonny stated. The FA Cup is a big thing and, to be in a position to get into the quarter-finals, we have to do everything (possible). I know this is a tough place and a tough opponent - I've been here before and had tough games - but we are in a good moment, and we need to bring that from the start of the game.

"In the FA Cup, it always happen. It happens every round, there's always a surprise. This is a really tough place and we don't want a repeat of last year (a 1-0 defeat to Middlesbrough in round five). I think we've learned from that and we need to go out there and show from the start that we are the better side."
