Michael Dawson on the promoted teams | Sheffield United

After the joy and heartbreak of the final week of the season, we now know who we will face in the Premier League next season - familiar foes in Burnley and Sheffield United alongside a newcomer in terms of the Premier League in Luton Town, who were relegated from the old First Division in 1991/92, the season before English football’s top flight changed to the Premier League.
Legendary former captain and Club Ambassador Michael Dawson knows the Championship well - he started and ended his career in the division with Nottingham Forest and in-between his nine years at Spurs and returning to Forest, he helped Hull City win the Championship play-off final at Wembley in 2016.
Sheffield United’s 2022/23
Relegated from the Premier League in 2020/21, The Blades suffered penalty shoot-out agony in the play-off semi-final last season, but recovered to chase all-conquering Burnley home this season, eventually finishing second, fully 11 points clear of Luton Town in third. Led by Paul Heckingbottom, we don’t need reminding that United knocked us out of the FA Cup as well on their way to the semi-finals, where they were beaten 3-0 by City at Wembley.
Daws on The Blades
"Full credit to Paul Heckingbottom. There was talk of players maybe being sold in January, but they kept hold of those players and he took care of what he could, kept morale together and kept getting results. Middlesbrough were chasing them down, you wondered if they’d catch Sheffield United at one point, but they stayed strong. I was impressed with Iliman Ndiaye (14 goals in the Championship), Oli McBurnie, Sander Berge, Jack Robinson, Billy Sharp in and around the squad. It could well be tough for them in the Premier League, but you’d think they’ll keep most of the squad there, apart from one or two that will maybe attract interest, and one thing is they’ve done it before with Chris Wilder, who took them from League One into the Premier League and they really impressed in finishing ninth in 2019/20."
