• The event was held in partnership between Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and the Department of Work & Pensions and is part of the Club’s continued work to drive employment across the community
• Over 50 different employers were in attendance including Stansted Airport, the Ministry of Defence, Pure Gym, and all of the stadium’s event day contractors
Over 50 different employers including Stansted Airport, the Ministry of Defence, Pure Gym and all of the stadium’s event day contractors were in attendance, offering roles ranging from entry level through to graduate and management positions, as well as traineeships and apprenticeships.
One of the employers looking for candidates was Carlos Da Silva, who was recruiting for Travelodge Hotels. He said: “It was a fantastic experience today. I met a range of people I’ll be putting forward for jobs and it really is a great way for people to explore future career opportunities."
Fatima Mehmet, employment adviser at Haringey Works, also attended to offer advice and support to those looking to secure apprenticeships.
She said: “It’s been a brilliant turnout today and we’ve met lots of people we can support into apprenticeships and permanent jobs. These types of events are hugely important for our community."

The Club has recently signed up to the Department of Work and Pensions Social Mobility Pledge Consortium, committing to helping more people into work and spreading opportunity with a key focus on some of society’s most vulnerable groups.
The stadium development has directly created over 4,000 jobs for local people to date and Tottenham Hotspur Foundation delivers a range of employment and skills support.
This includes one-to-one employment advice for jobseekers at its Percy House headquarters every Thursday - 10am-2pm - alongside interview skills training and employability programmes.
All of this is within the context of Haringey having one of the highest rates of unemployment in London, with 5.2% of adults unemployed according to the Office of National Statistics - above the national average of 3.7%.
