Ange handed huge clash for first home game

Thu 15 June 2023, 10:45|Tottenham Hotspur

Ange Postecoglou will face an all-time classic Premier League fixture in his first home outing as our Head Coach.

With all fixtures for the 2023/24 Premier League season announced this morning, we learned that our first home game of the campaign - and therefore Ange's first outing at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - will see us come up against Manchester United in N17 on Saturday 19 August (kick-off 3pm UK).

Appointed as our new Head Coach last Tuesday (8 June), Ange then recorded a message for supporters on Friday afternoon, expressing his excitement for the season ahead, especially the first home game of his tenure.

Looking forward to getting started at Hotspur Way, as well as meeting our fans in N17, Ange said: "I can assure you that, right through pre-season, we won’t leave any stone unturned – myself, the staff and the players – to make sure that, when the league comes around, you’ll all be as excited as I am about the season ahead.

"I really look forward to seeing everyone at the stadium, in particular at our first home game, and look forward to the journey ahead."

While our first home game sees the Red Devils make the trip to the north London, we actually begin the season across the capital as we travel to Brentford on the opening day (Sunday 6 August, kick-off 2pm UK, live on Sky Sports).

That season opener is now just 59 days away with Ange's first home game only 65 days away.
