Spurs vs Lion City Sailors – how to watch, team news, kit colours, key information

Tue 25 July 2023, 20:09|Tottenham Hotspur

The final game of our Asia-Pacific tour is a unique one as we take on Singapore Premier League side Lion City Sailors on Wednesday.

The Tiger Cup match, which takes place at the Singapore National Stadium, kicks-off at 7.30pm local time, 12.30pm in the UK.

Following the cancellation of Sunday’s planned friendly against Leicester City in Thailand owing to a waterlogged pitch, this will be our second outing under Ange Postecoglou and represents another chance for our new Head Coach to run the rule over his players before we return to London later this week.

Here’s all you need to know ahead of the match...

How can I watch the game?

Live coverage of Wednesday’s match will be available on SPURSPLAY*, our exclusive live and on-demand video service. Kick-off is at 12.30pm time.

Find out more about SPURSPLAY and sign up here.

You can also follow all the action via our Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app, where you’ll find live text updates, images and much more.

Video highlights will be available on SPURSPLAY after the game.

*Broadcast unavailable in host territory.

What is the team news?

Tanguy Ndombele and Dane Scarlett will miss Wednesday’s match after picking up knocks during the tour.

Both players have since returned to training, but Ange confirmed on Tuesday that the Lion City Sailors clash would come too soon for them.

Shawal Anuar could come into the starting line-up for Lion City after stepping off the bench to score the winner in their last match, a 3-2 home victory over Tanjong Pagar last Thursday.

What colours will the teams be playing in?

We will once again be wearing our brand new, all-white 2023/24 home strip against Lion City.

The Singapore Premier League side will wear their royal blue change kit.

What will the weather conditions be like?

Temperatures will be as high as 30 degrees in Singapore on Wednesday with thundery showers expected. However, the presence of a roof at the National Stadium means we won’t have a repeat of Sunday’s events in Thailand, where a heavy downpour led to the game’s cancellation.
