Manor Solomon: “To be a Spurs player... it means a lot”

Manor Solomon plays football with a smile on his face - and he’s aiming to bring that joy to all Spurs fans after agreeing a deal with the Club that will run until 2028, subject to international clearance and work permit.
Watching from the outside, you couldn’t fail to be struck by the outpouring of emotion as he opened his account for Fulham in February last season, the first of a run of scoring in five-successive matches. He had good reason to be elated, as well, having recovered from injury to make his mark in the Premier League.
If you told me this 10 years ago, I don’t know if I would have believed it, that when I turned 23, soon 24, I’d be playing for Tottenham...
Beaming ear to ear at Hotspur Way, he’s now a Spurs player, his excitement tangible as he wore our famous cockerel badge for the first time. “I’m really excited to be here, to come to a big club like Tottenham is a dream come true for me,” he told SPURSPLAY.
“I feel the excitement here, straight away. I see the players, I see the club, I see what is going on here, everything is at the top, at the highest level. Every football player dreams to play for a club like Tottenham and now, with the new manager coming in, I think there will be some successful years for this club.
“I can’t wait to see the team and to meet the manager. It’s going to be different with the new manager. The football will be more offensive, more attacking, it will entertain our fans. I can’t wait for the season to start.
“I love football. I think if you ask any football player, ‘what’s the best moment?’, they will say to score a goal. The emotions you feel… it’s something you cannot explain in words, especially last season, when I scored in the Premier League for the first time. After the injury I had, after what I’ve gone through, it was something else. Hopefully, I’ll have a lot of moments like this at Tottenham.”
Capped 35 times by Israel, Manor is another perfect fit for how Ange Postecoglou wants to take the team forward. “I spoke with the manager and understood what he wants and what he demands from the team, from the wingers in particular, I know he wants to see attacking football, to see pressure, to have the ball, to play really attacking football that will entertain our fans,” he added. “I think I am suitable for this challenge, and I can fit the team. I will do whatever I can to help the team to succeed, to improve as a player and try to improve the team.”
