Preston v Spurs – how to watch, team news, kit colours, key information

Fri 27 January 2023, 23:15|Tottenham Hotspur

We make the trip to Deepdale to face Preston North End in the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday evening (kick-off 6pm UK).

Currently 11th in the Championship, Preston defeated Huddersfield Town 3-1 to reach this stage of the competition, while we saw off Portsmouth 1-0 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the third round.

Here’s all the relevant information you need ahead of the match...

How can I watch the game?

Saturday’s match will be televised live in the UK on BBC One, kick-off 6pm UK.

Live radio commentary will also be available on BBC Radio 5 Live and talkSPORT.

Worldwide broadcast listings are available here.

As always, you can also follow all the action via our Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app, where you’ll find minute-by-minute text and audio commentary, goal alerts, stats and much more, meaning you won’t miss any of the action from Deepdale, wherever you are in the world.

What is the team news?

Harry Kane will be assessed after suffering from illness during the early part of the week.

Assistant Head Coach Cristian Stellini explained on Friday: “The most important thing we have to analyse is the condition of Harry. He played our last match with illness. This week, he trained only today. He’s not perfect, but he wants to travel with us, and he wants to be involved in the game. He wants to play in every game. We’re happy he’s back, but the last three days were not so perfect for him, because he pushed himself a lot in the last game.”

Arnaut Danjuma could make his debut after signing on loan from Villarreal this week, while Lucas Moura continued his quest to return to fitness with a goalscoring 45-minute stint for our Under-21s at Arsenal on Friday evening, so will not feature at Deepdale.

Our on-loan striker Troy Parrott is ineligible to feature for Preston against us under the terms of his loan, while Liam Delap is cup-tied for the hosts.

Ben Whiteman and Brad Potts have returned to training and could feature, but Emil Riis Jakobsen is sidelined.

What colours will the teams be playing in?

Preston will play in white shirts, navy blue shorts and blue-and-white hooped socks, with their goalkeeper in green.

We’ll be wearing our third kit, which is all light blue with darker blue patterns on the shirts, with our keeper in yellow.

Who is the referee?

Peter Bankes will take charge of Saturday’s tie at Deepdale.

He’ll be assisted by Edward Smart and Nick Greenhalgh, with John Busby as the fourth official.

What will the weather conditions be like?

It’s forecast to be cloudy and breezy in Preston on Saturday, with temperatures at around six degrees.
